The Painted Ship - Frustration / Little White Lies [1966]

                            THE PAINTED SHIP

From Vancouver, Canada, this band issued a killer 60's punk two sider ''Frustration / Little White Lies'' in 1966 on London rec. (Canada) and Mercury (USA). Get 'em first on Pebbles vol.7 with fine example of early garage/psych "Frustration" as one of the stand-out tunes [later covered by Plan 9 on their s.t. debut] The B side, hard-hittin' "Little White Lies" landed on Open Up Yer Door! comp. and later on Back From The Grave 8 where I dug it up. Both numbers featured real cool [sometimes spooky whispering]  vocals [William Hay] and keys [Ken Wain]. They got another fine 60's punker 45 "And She Said Yes" you can check out. Canada wyldest [next to The Ugly Ducklings and The Haunted] Dig!!!!!!!!
